Mohawk Trail Concerts is putting on a free, hour-long family concert in Charlemont today, and there will also be a one-stop-shop farmer’s market held at the same venue for all of your local, fresh, and either certified organic, or otherwise sustainable Independence Day picnic, barbeque, and any other kind of dining needs, from certified organic vegetables, to meats (all species) and more!
There is an Independence Day Free Family Celebration Concert outdoors – on Sunday July 3rd at 2:00 pm,
to take place on the riverbank by Charlemont’s Long Bridge and Route 8A. Musicians will be on the land,
audience can also be there or on the water in kayaks, tubes, boats etc. WINDS O’ER THE WATER
will be for about an hour with music performed by a wind quintet ( flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon)
playing mostly American music and/or music related to the water including selections from Handel’s Water music,
Gershwin tunes, by Sousa, and some shanties. The Charlemont Federated Church is the inclement weather venue.
